When I saw this as a kid on tv the destruction of the space laboratory(?) at the beginning I found quite powerful and reminded me of the similar scene at the beginning of QUATERMASS 1979.
But the years have continued to be unkind to this film.
It was really hyped at the time, alongside THE BLACK HOLE and STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE. All seemed to disappoint people.
