The final Emma Peel episode is the first episode of series 6, and introduced Tara King
1. THE FORGET- ME- KNOT

Steed's colleague Sean Mortimer comes to see him in a very confused state. He knows there is a traitor in the organization but he has been drugged to put him in an amnesiac state and he can remember little else. Mrs. Peel investigates but she too falls prey to the drug as she and Sean are abducted by bikers. It is down to trainee agent 69, Tara King, to whom Steed is introduced by spymaster 'Mother' to help him save the day. Finally Miss King becomes his new partner as Mrs. Peel's missing husband reappears and she goes off to join him.

The final Emma Peel scene, getting in a car with her husband, thought to be dead but found alive in an Amazon jungle , from behind looking a bit like Steed.

2. GAME
A group of ex-army officers are forced to play a series of games which end up with their deaths. Steed realizes that they were all responsible for the court-martial of sergeant Daniel Edwards for black marketeering some twenty years earlier - as indeed was he. Now calling himself Monte Bristow and styling himself the Games Master the murderer abducts Tara to force Steed into surviving a sequence of dangerous games in order to save the pair of them.

3. SUPER SECRET CYPHER SNATCH.
Secrets from Cypher HQ are turning up in enemy hands, in spite of airtight security. Worse, agents sent in to investigate find the assignment terminal. Classy Glass Cleaners, a window cleaning company is a front for something else. Tara is sent to cypher HQ to see what's happening, but she reports her day was an ordinary boring day despite another robbery happening.

Oh look, Mr Rumbold !

4. YOU'LL CATCH YOUR DEATH.
Ear-nose-throat specialists all over the world are dropping dead. The only common factor among the cases, aside from the suddenness of death, is an empty envelope. Conferring with a stationery specialist, Steed learns that a nursing school ordered 10,000 envelopes—and no writing paper!

5. SPLIT!
A murder takes place within the Ministry of Top Secret Information, but the level of security makes it quite impossible for an outsider to do such a thing. Then a handwriting expert confirms that documents written by Ministry personnel match that of an enemy agent slain by Steed years ago!

6. WHOEVER SHOT POOR GEORGE OBLIQUE STROKE XR 40 ?
Someone committed cold-blooded murder, firing both barrels of a shotgun at point-blank range—at a computer, one that was in the midst of implicating its creator, Sir Wilfred Pelley, as a traitor. While George undergoes surgery, Tara poses as Pelley's American niece, and finds out that there's more to Pelley's butler than meets the eye.

7. FALSE WITNESS.
Dying agent Penman instructs Miss King to tell Steed that their colleague Melville is a traitor, leading to the avengers boss mother replacing Melville with Steed into the investigation of suspected blackmailer Lord Edgefield. However none of Edgefield's victims are prepared to give evidence and when Steed arrives at the Dreemykreem dairy he discovers the reason.

8. ALL DONE WITH MIRRORS
Somebody is leaking secrets from the Carmadoc research institute and suspicion falls upon Steed, who has been spending some time there. He is accordingly put under rather luxurious house arrest at Mother's, whilst Miss King and her somewhat incompetent new partner Watney unmask the real traitor. There's a new invention using reflected surfaces to capture sound.

9. LEGACY OF DEATH.
Steed comes into possession of a jewelled ornamental dagger, known as the Falcon. It is highly sought after because it will lead to the whereabouts of the world's most valuable black pearl. Unfortunately, everyone who has ever owned the dagger has met an untimely end. Steed and Miss King must find the pearl and break the sequence.

11. LOOK( STOP ME IF YOU'VE HEARD THIS ONE) BUT THEY'RE WERE THESE TWO FELLAS.
The directors of Project Cupid (a program to create an emergency underground facility for the British government in case of war) are being popped off one by one by a bunch of clowns bent on stopping the project before it levels some old vaudeville theatres.
This episode borders on slapstick comedy, O.T.T. scenes a plenty, and a cameo from John Cleese.

12. HAVE GUNS WILL HAGGLE
When Colonel Nsonga—hot to stage a coup—arrives in Britian on the eve of the theft of several thousand brand new top-secret rifles, Steed positions himself to bid against his "old friend" for the weapons. Little does he know that it's a bid to save Tara's life, as the sellers want to use her in a live demonstration of the product!
This episode was originally 90 minutes long and meant to introduce Tara King, but was deemed so bad the director John Bryce was sacked. Re-edited to standard length and new scenes made it workable.

13. THEY KEEP KILLING STEED.
In an attempt to wreck a peace conference, a diabolical mastermind utilizes "instant plastic surgery" to create a duplicate of Steed. His only mistake was not keeping a closer eye on the original while he had him in his clutches, as the real Steed knocks out his jail keeper and prepares a little surprise for the army of enemy agents about to descend on the conference.

14. THE INTERROGATORS
Agents are being inducted into a special course—an interrogation course, established to determine the degree to which agents can withstand interrogation. Except that everyone who passes the course soon learns that all of their contacts have been murdered. And then, Tara is called in for a run through the course as well.

15. THE ROTTERS.
Members of the Institue of Timber Technology have been killed to prevent them from standing in the way of a dastardly plot hatched by WormDoom Ltd, a pair of assassins who have perfected a chemical which destroys all kinds of wood and which they plan to release from pillar boxes around the country... unless Steed and Miss King can stop them.

16. INVASION OF THE EARTHMEN
One of Steed's colleagues is killed on the grounds of an unusual academy. Posing as man and wife, Steed and Tara investigate a school created to train future astronauts for the purpose of conquering outer space.
Plan 9 from Outer Space meets classic Star Trek, right down to the Trek uniforms and Plan 9's curtained space station control room.

17. KILLER
Mother's agents are turning up dead, one after another, prepackaged, gift-wrapped and dumped in a graveyard. Remak, a suspected agent-killer, proves to be more efficient than any human ever could—perhaps because he isn't human (Remak: Remote Electro-Matic Agent Killer).

18. THE MORNING AFTER.
In an attempt to escape capture by Steed and Tara, quadruple-agent Merlin releases a new sleeping gas, but is knocked out as well. The three awaken a day later to a deserted town under martial law. But while the outside world thinks that the army is there to de-fuse an old atom bomb found buried in an embassy building, they're actually installing a new one

19. THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE COUNTLESS CLUES
With Miss King out of action nursing a broken ankle Steed goes it alone when Scotland Yard colleague Sir Arthur Doyle brings him in on a murder enquiry, with an abundance of clues, each one pointing to an illustrious suspect. In fact bogus cops Earle and Gardiner are operating a racket whereby they deliberately incriminate worthies as murder suspects and then blackmail them. Their latest target is Steed and his supposed victim is Miss King.

20. WISH YOU WERE HERE.
Miss King's uncle Charles has been staying at the Elizabethan hotel but his return is overdue so she goes to collect him . However she finds the hotel staff have devised ways to stop them and other guests from leaving in a plot to rob and kill them or in Charles' case for his business to be taken over in his absence. Miss King leads a successful revolt of the prisoners just in time for Steed's arrival.
