Your thoughts on this movie......

In 1904 an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale shook Oslo, with an epicenter in the "Oslo Graben" which runs under the Norwegian capital. There are now signs that indicate that we can expect a major future earthquake in Oslo.

“The Quake” – A Sequel To “The Wave”

Before he helmed the recent “Tomb Raider” reboot, Roar Uthaug got the gig thanks to his work on the impressive 2015 Norwegian tsunami thriller “The Wave” which blended massive CG spectacle with a strong human drama element a cut above most in the disaster genre.

Now comes the U.S. trailer for “The Quake,” a follow-up that hails from much of the same team except for Uthaug. “The Wave” cinematographer John Andreas Andersen takes over as director, while co-writer John Kare Raake returned to pen the script and actor Kristoffer Joner reprises his role of geologist Kristian Eikjord.

In the new film, Eikjord is struggling in the aftermath of the events of the fjord tsunami and soon realises a major earthquake is about to hit Oslo where his estranged wife and children now live. “The Quake” will play in limited theatrical release and On Demand starting Friday, December 14th.
