Untitled Gunn Project
“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn is set to produce an untitled horror film for The H Collective which will fully finance and produce. His brothers Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn are writing the screenplay.

David Yarovesky will direct the horror film. Gunn will produce the project in the spring of 2018, in the gap between finishing scripting and starting production on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”.

Your thoughts on this movie.....

What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

Following its premiere at the Sony panel at Brazil Comic Con, the first trailer has gone online for the James Gunn-produced sci-fi horror thriller “Brightburn”.

The film works on the premise – what if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?
Elizabeth Banks, Jackson Dunn, David Denman, Meredith Hagner and Matt Jones star in the David Yarovesky-directed film which is released May 24th next year.

One of the more intriguing high concept horror films to hit this year, James Gunn produces this project which is effectively a reimagination of Clark Kent’s origin if he instead went bad. The story follows a couple (Elizabeth Banks, David Denman) that adopts a baby who came from the stars. While they attempt to raise the boy to use his powers for good, an evil begins to grow from inside that he unleashes. Sony released a promising trailer last month and is opening the movie in late May, serving as a nice bit of cost-effective counter-programming to all the other big budget fare out there.

BrightBurn

Screen Gems have released a new photo for their James Gunn-produced horror feature “BrightBurn” starring Jackson A. Dunn. The story is a dark spin on the “Superman” myth with a child from another world crash-landing on Earth. However, instead of becoming a hero to mankind he proved to be something far more sinister. David Yarovesky helms the film which opens May 24th.
