Favorite discontinued foods...

Got the idea for this thread from the other sequel board...

What are your favorite foods/snacks/beverages that have been discontinued & that you wish they'd brong back?

Mine:

PB Crisps by Planters
Suddenly Smores
Bonkers Gum/Candy
Orbitz (the drink)
Butterfinger BBs
Planters Cheese Balls
Clearly Canadian (fruit flavored carbonated water)
Magic Middles
Torengos (Those triangular Pringle-style tortilla chips that came in a triangular canister... used to buy those by the gross along w/ that nacho cheese sauce that came in a can)
The old school Sunkist fruit snacks that resembled pebbles
Pudding roll-ups
Jello pudding pops
Giggles cookies
Grape flavored Gushers fruit snacks
Sprinklins yogurt
Trix yogurt
Sweet & Salty Bugles corn chips
Maxwell House French vanilla latte mix (the one that you make hot, not the cold one... yes, they're both different, & came in separate packing)
Dunkaroos

Yes, I have eaten a buttload of junkfood... Be amazed I wasn't overweight as a child. I had energy to burn back then. lol

*Note: Since I'm from the States, a lot of what I put down are foods & drinks that were local to here. Feel free to include whatever's local to your area... I like learning about stuff from other places, so this is no different. :)

They came for our salad cream and we said "bog off - sometimes mayonnaise is just WRONG"
They told us to call Marathons Snickers and we said "they look a lot smaller these days".
They banned beef on the bone for years, but I had a butcher who knew I meant business in oxtail soup season.

ps Thanks for asking - this should win the week's prize for most random topic of the week

Did you see they brought these back for a limited time a couple of years ago? They were about half the size they used to be, and not nearly as good.

Pretty much everything on your list would make mine. I would also add Surge. Apparently, you can find it in some areas here in the States, but I haven't found it. Just that nasty Crystal Pepsi which is still as bad as I remember it being.

nasty Crystal Pepsi

Damn!
Isn't that fearsomely expensive, as well as highly illegal? I think we still only have fully-leaded and diet Pepsi over here.

I saw... bought a box... was highly disappointed. They reeked of aspertame. Blech...

The Shell station by my parents' house has Surge... I've heard that they changed the preservatives in it, & it doesn't taste the same as before.

Are those candy Bottle Caps still available? There is a lot of stuff I lost track of when I moved from Chicago to the West Coast. Like Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing. West Coasters seem to think Ranch is the answer. No.

Yes! The only place I can remember seeing them lately, though, is at Walmart. They have to big bins of theatre box candy near the movies, where you can find Bottle Caps, Sour Patch Kids, Reece's Pieces, Mike & Ike's and Hot Tomales.

You're lucky. Here in Iowa, everything is Ranch or Ketchup. Apparently, no one thinks there is any other dipping sauce out there. I do love me some Creamy Garlic on my salad.

Zagnut - candy bars. They were available in the cafeteria vending machine and then all of a sudden GONE!!! In hindsight, that probably was a good thing for my hiney, as I was buying one everyday.◆◆◆♡♡♡

Mister Salty pretzel sticks. Discontinued because the sales were down, that's the official story. Sales were down because the latest health fad was the sodium scare. "Mister Salty" might as well have been named "Mister Coronary".
