I don't think this is as bad as it's made out to be. I quite liked the direction they took the characters in this, but it was hurt by an overly convouted time-travel screenplay. Leave out the time travel aspect and it could have been a decent movie.

This actually sounds like it had the makings of a decent series. It's a shame it didn't proceed. But it probably wouldn't have been any better treated than Firefly was so perhaps it was a blessing. There's definitely room for a modern remake of this series.

I did hear rumours that Terry really wanted the Daleks to appear in Blake's 7. He was very keen to spin them off outside of Doctor Who. That's why we didn't see any between Evil of the Daleks in 1967 and Day of the Daleks in 1972.

I've been thinking about this and is it possible that this was a story concept originally pitched for Doctor Who and later reworked for Blake's 7? It seems out of place in Blake's 7 but I could see it working in Doctor Who.
