    Review Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

Looks like we've got a trilogy of trilogy starters.

    Review The BRADLEY Doctor

I won't disagree that he gave a great performance (as he does in everything he's in) and it was definitely an interesting approach to the character. It might be that I just need to watch the episode again to fully appreciate it. First viewing I was taken out of the story by what felt like an out...

Review The Enemy of the World (1967)

Just looking at my Doctor Who timeline and I realised that this story is due to happen any day now. After the government managed to keep the 1986 Cyberman invasion quiet I expect this will be kept secret too. Perhaps this is why Trump is trying to build a wall to keep the Mexicans out. He's...

    Review The BRADLEY Doctor

I think that's true. I'm struggling to remember anything else in the Hartnell era that could have been construed that way. There are probably some instances but only because of the era. The Doctor has generally been relatively progressive. The only similar line was when the 2nd Doctor told Polly...

Review STAR COPS: INTELLIGENT LISTENING FOR BEGINNERS - Episode 03

Another good episode. The model used for the moon buggy was excellent. Like others I continue to be impressed with how predictive this show was about the future. Sure they're off in some areas (a laser gun - really?) but eBooks, computer viruses, ect. Unfortunately the mystery was a bit...

    Review The BRADLEY Doctor

I agree. I thought he captured Hartnell brilliantly in An Adventure in Time and Space, but it just didn't carry through in Twice Upon a Time. I suspect the script didn't help him, but perhaps there's also an element of him wanting to capture the memory of a real person in An Adventure in Time...

    Review Rose (2005)

I'm pretty sure I've read the books more than I've actually seen the episodes. In fact I'm often surprised when watching an episode that something I thought was in the story was actually an addition or change for the novelisation. That's especially true of the later publications where the...

    Review Rose (2005)

Every single one. The only ones (that I am aware of) that have yet to be published are Resurrection of the Daleks and Revelation of the Daleks and for those I've got the NZ fan club's unauthorised novelisation versions. I'm currently working through re-reading them in televised order and am just...

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

I saw that article and was pleased to see that a greater diversity of writers is being sought. Maybe we'll start to see some better written female characters. In fact I saw a comment that suggested that the Classic series is even worse than it looks for female writers with Leslie Scott not being...

    Fun The STAR WARS Franchise

OK I didn't watch the video but is his reason "because no one in their right mind would let me after what I did with the prequels"?

    Review Rose (2005)

Already on preorder along with the other three from the new series. Got to keep my collection as complete as possible.

    Fun The Trek Franchise!

I think you'll find that their actual vision is to make lots of money from Star Trek. They just don't know how to make that vision into a reality.

    Review BLAKE'S 7: SPACE FALL - Episode 02

I would think that knowing absolutely nothing about Star Trek V proves that you have saved that portion of your brain that would otherwise have been taken up with memories of it and used it for more worthwhile purposes. There is nothing about that movie that is worth wasting brain space on...

News JAMES BOND: No Time to Die (2021)

Unfortunately he's still in Mamma Mia 2. Apparently whoever wrote the story is deaf and never heard his "singing" in the first one. Anyone who'd heard him would have killed him off before the 2nd part starts.

    Review BLAKE'S 7: CYGNUS ALPHA - Episode 03

Yeah I had an issue with that too. The only explanation I can think of is that the revolt on the London took place early on during the trip but the discovery of the Liberator didn't occur until almost the end of the trip. There's nothing to indicate a gap of several months between the two events...

Couldn't he just make the next Bond movie a musical? :emoji_grinning:

    Review BLAKE'S 7: CYGNUS ALPHA - Episode 03

I was surprised at that. I was expecting something along the lines of British transportation of prisoners to Australia (in those days almost a comparable trip as the one to Cygnus Alpha). And the British definitely sent guards to keep the prisoners under control.

    Review Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

That's actually pretty good. I just watched the live aid set not long ago and they seem to have really captured the performances.

Review STAR COPS: CONVERSATIONS WITH THE DEAD - Episode 02

I would imagine low gravity is harder to simulate than zero gravity. Especially at the time this was made and on the budget. But even today it's hard to see how you would do it and make it look realistic. Zero gravity can be done with harnesses but low gravity?

    Review BLAKE'S 7: CYGNUS ALPHA - Episode 03

Yes it seems that they're isomorphic only in the sense that you can only take one. But once you have one anyone can take it off you and use it. Seems like a pretty useless feature.
