I told my wife that when my son and I got home. Instead of a random collection of action sequences and comic book moments, loosely tied together by "plot", this was a full story, with action sequences that actually complimented the movie instead of being the reason for the movie.

I just got back from seeing this film. It has renewed my faith in DC movies. I'm still not entirely hip to the constant slo-mo in action sequences, but this movie is just so good. The real lesson? Keep Goyer away from the scripts!

Absolutely great film. True, there are moments in the final battle that draw my ire, as do many of the other current action films, where they add too much to battle scenes (my biggest complaint with Avengers: Age of Ultron). Too much action mixed with too much CGI with too many camera zooms and...

I just saw it, and loved it. As much as I hate to ever disagree with @Doctor Omega , I look forward to four more movies. As the wife pointed out, anyone who read the books immediately caught the reveal when Farrell's character gives the fake Barry Allen the pendant. But yeah, I thought it was great.
