I went to see this on release. Three hours plus of unmitigated boredom, with a bloke wandering around bored in his hometown. Yet praised as brilliant in all the reviews. Not recommended!

There is a serious theory doing the rounds that this movie is a sequel to 1971's WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

Yep, after all this time, the soundtrack and some stunning visuals are what I remember most.

This came out at the same time as CHAPTER 27 which starred Jared Leto. Jonas Ball played a much more visibly sinister Chapman. I think I prefer this out of the two films.

I can't believe that I swallowed this movie whole, looking back - and pretty much everything it claimed. It left so much out that did not fit the theory that Stone was peddling. Since then I have read numerous books on the matter, which leads me to believe conclusively that Oswald acted alone.

Surely it must have been written for Peter Cushing to reprise his DR. WHO/AT THE EARTH'S CORE personae in too, until Peter Gilmore stepped in?

I actually prefer this to the original one.

Am a bit baffled by this one while updating it.... There seems to have already been a film made in 2016 - the year before the above announcement, but the mooted film above seems to have fizzled out. Anyway, here's the poster and trailer for the earlier film.......
