Review Alan Moore

I love Alan Moore's work. His prose is brilliant, and he crafts compelling stories and characters. And I fully understand his frustration with the film adaptations of his work, because filmmakers have bastardized it in the past (and continue to do so, like in The Killing Joke). But some film adaptations have been pretty good, like V for Vendetta and Watchmen. Yes, both of the graphic novels were 100 times better than the films, and they should be read before you watch (and after, and frequently and often), but he's just become that artist who will never be happy with anything done to his work. And yet, he's certainly not too proud to cash the checks they send him. Because artistic integrity (to be honest, I wouldn't be too proud either).
