Freddie Highmore visits Psycho house, Bates Motel at Universal Studios Hollywood for SDCC 2013

A good modern interpretation of the familiar story.

It still sits in the shadow of the original though and no actor can ever truly replace Perkins, although Freddie Highmore makes a fair stab at it, so to speak. Vera Farmiga plays the mother well and all the supporting characters fit well into the drama imo.

And at least they didn't try to drag it out for ten seasons.
