I just got back from a special viewing. This is a great film! Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant were amazing! Maybe one of these days I’ll read the book. Even though what Lee Israel was doing was evil, I still empathized with her all through the movie. When her status as a felon got her out of jury duty, she said “Crime does pay.” It does, because no one would know who she is if she hadn’t done that.
