Your thoughts on this story....

The Doctor and Clara find themselves dealing with Cold War tensions when the TARDIS lands aboard a disabled Soviet ballistic submarine. The Doctor isn't the only alien being on board however - while engaged in undersea drilling, Professor Grisenko thought he'd found a mammoth and brought the creature on the boat encased in ice. It isn't a mammoth but an Ice Warrior, who has been lying dormant for 5000 years.

When I heard that the Ice Warriors were to return and Gattis was boasting that we would see them in a new way, I just knew that they would remove their helmet or something.

I did not expect the entire Ice Warrior body to turn out to be a tank for the squidgy thing inside.

We already have the Daleks for that - and I am not convinced that Brian Hayles saw them as anything other than tortoise-like reptilians who had added technological weaponry to their bodies.

I don't think he ever saw those bodies as being robotic.

But Gattis did.

It made no logical sense to me either.

If you are a fast moving creature, why slow yourself down inside a powerloader that not only can't move as fast as you, but is useless against someone putting the thermostat up!

Another classic monster ridiculously retconned imo.
