First Reformed
A24 has acquired U.S. rights to Paul Schrader’s thriller “First Reformed” starring Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried following screenings at Venice, Telluride and Toronto. A 2018 release is planned.
Hawke plays a mysterious Reverend based in a small town in upstate New York. Seyfried plays a pregnant woman struggling with a seemingly unstable, radical activist husband who asks the Reverend for help. He soon gets embroiled in a treacherous scenario that forces him to confront his troubled past.
