When the brilliant but unorthodox scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein rejects the artificial man that he has created, the Creature escapes and later swears revenge.

I do know what the true story is, but I do not recall this TV special...

"The True Story" was a very odd title to give to it, because it probably strayed as far from the novel as any other adaption.

The "monster" does talk and reason in this one though, as per the book.
