When this aired, I tried to convince myself I was missing some kind of ;point. Maybe this was a brilliantly clever episode.

I still can't see it.

For me this was a major nail in the coffin of my appreciation of this new version of the show.

And yet it seems to be a love it or hate it episode throughout the larger fandom.

Yes, it was bold. And okay, I get the narrative of seeing the Doctor's actions from a more mundane perspective. But I don't think that makes it in any way brilliant. Quite the reverse.

Just... silly in a poorly executed way. And I don't think it's half as clever as it seems to think it is.

The part where Elton is just hanging out with his friends having fun, before Victor comes in, is nice. After that the episode is rubbish.
