Your thoughts on this story......

The TARDIS materializes in the village of Lannet in Lancashire. An annoyed Doctor, who has apparently been transported here against his will, is locked out of the TARDIS and forced to examine his surroundings. After determining he is in England in 2003, he is surprised to discover the village is silent and the inhabitants all living in fear except for a barmaid named Alison Cheney.

For one brief, flickering moment, Richard E. Grant really was the official 9th Doctor.

Then that pesky NEW WHO happened and Grant was swiftly de-canonised and nobody really likes to talk about this short-lived "era" anymore.

It never happened. Honest!

To be equally honest, I don't yet own the dvd of this story (released as part of the official classic range) so can't pass an opinion on either Grant's Doctor or the story itself.

But the whole thing is an interesting "what if" - and one I will get around to checking out one day.

Has anyone here seen it?
