Stan Replaces Evans In “Devil All The Time”
Netflix’s original feature “The Devil All the Time” is swapping out one “Captain America” star for another.
Sebastian Stan will replace Chris Evans in the film after Evans had to depart due to scheduling conflicts. Stan will appear alongside Tom Holland, Jason Clarke, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson, Riley Keough, and Bill Skarsgard.
The story is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s southern gothic novel which takes place in a forgotten backwoods Ohio town where a storm of faith, violence and redemption brews.
Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets his son (Holland) on the path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action.
A serial killer couple, a faith-testing preacher, and a corrupt local sheriff also figure into the action. Antonio Campos helms from a script he co-wrote with Paulo Campos while Jake Gyllenhaal, Riva Marker, Randall Poster and Max Born are producing.
