“X-Men: Apocalypse” and “Ready Player One” actor Tye Sheridan is set to lead the crime drama “The Night Clerk” from writer/director Michael Cristofer (“Gia”).

Sheridan will play an intelligent but slightly autistic hotel night clerk, Bart Bromley, who uses secret surveillance cameras to record guests in an effort to improve his social interaction skills.

However, when a woman is murdered Bromley becomes the prime suspect and he refuses to reveal his illegal cameras that would prove his innocence.

As the police investigation closes in, he becomes close to a beautiful guest named Andrea who may be the real murderer’s next victim.

The project marks Cristofer’s first film since 2001’s “Original Sin” with Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas. David Wulf will produce and filming begins in Utah in May.#

Sounds promising. However, I watch movies like this with a very critical eye, being the parent of an Autistic young lady. Sometimes, Hollywood gets it right, and other times, they fail like Trump trying to act like a human being.
