"Destroy Blake!"

"As you wish, Supreme Commander!"

Taken from an episode of "STAR GAMES"...........

Star Games (Thames) INCOMPLETE - 4th November 1980

An episode of the charity television tournament, hosted by Michael Aspel, in which TV stars of the time, playing in teams, play serious looking sports, such as football, motorcycling and canoeing, for their charities. This programme features teams referred to as Enforcers v Informers, but unfortunately the motorcycling footage is missing from this recording.

I see Bernard Lee pops up in the show too. And I think I saw Commander Bulic in the background too.

One helluva crossover adventure.

Gan's feet have never been the same since that wall came down on his leg after Travis threw that bomb, so he finds it difficult to bend down and tie his laces now.. Blake's cybernetic guts were replaced by a cyber-surgeon after Avon blasted them out - and the drunken Docholi overcompensated. Vila's just completely paranoid there, knowing that even his best mate could chuck him out of an airlock at any moment. Avon's loss of dress sense is down to his never recovering from his mind snapping at Blake's seeming betrayal on Gauda Prime.

How all of these characters are alive (considering Jenna and Cally died in off-screen explosions) and are all boogying on down to what looks like a disco is beyond my powers of explanation though. :emoji_confused:

For Paul.

This music (by Mark Ayers and sung by Leslie Garrett) was used, very poignantly, on the dvd trailer for season 4.

Just felt it seemed appropriate to hear it again now. :emoji_cry:

Blake's 7 really is, finally, over.

I can't help but hope you are knocking back a few drinks with Gareth and Jackie up there, (with a crate of brown ale for Peter Tuddenham).

Thanks for the work you leave behind.

They could remake the show with state of the art effects and surround your character with the best and brightest of today's acting generation.

But they can never, ever replace you in the role of Avon. They should never, ever even attempt it. End of story.

And that's the greatest testimony of all.

Goodbye, the one and only Avon. :emoji_cry:

Big Finish have produced a series of B7 audios, I have listened to a few and they are enjoyable. Wonderful hearing the original cast again, why I haven't listened to more I don't know, but there must be loads of great Avon and Vila quips to hear yet, so still more of the B7 universe to explore!

The Future of Blake's 7
7 June 2019

A short statement from Big Finish producer John Ainsworth about the company's future plans for Blake's 7

https://www.bigfinish.com/news/v/the-future-of-blake-s-7

feat-img-PDA.jpg

We were all shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Paul Darrow on Monday 3 June. As Avon, Paul was an integral part of Blake's 7, so his passing will, of course, have an impact on our plans for the series on audio.
We can confirm that Paul had recorded all of Avon's dialogue for the four episodes that will make up the Restoration Part 2 box set. However, the release of Restoration Part 2 will now be put back to November. This will allow us time to address Avon's absence in the concluding Restoration Part 3 box set which will now be released in February 2020.
We will continue to release new Blake's 7 productions beyond the Restoration trilogy, and will announce details in due course. There are no plans to recast Avon with a new actor.

TOP 10 Blake's 7 Episodes (Classic British Sci-Fi Show) 40th Anniversary

No two Blake's 7 fans top 10 lists are the same!! In honor of the 40th Anniversary of Blake’s 7, I made a Blake’s 7 Best Episodes Top 10 list. It's official, that this list is completely unofficial :) This show has been with me since my early childhood, when my dad & I use to watch it. I really got into again properly in my late teens, when sadly, all I had excess too were seasons 1 & 4! With the 40th anniversary producing more content (Making Blake’s 7 twitter & various enjoyable B7 podcasts), I found myself returning to this addictive dystopian world of late 70s hairstyles & Tom Baker era Dr Who sets & sensibilities. From Cygnus Alpha to Guada Prime, it’s a unique fun ride on the Liberator & Scorpio. The recent death of Jaqueline Pearce (Servalan), also helped spark this list. (Miss MAXIMUM POWER) Admittedly, my list changes CONSTANTLY(!), but since I saw no others on You Tube, I felt compelled to add my 2 cents. Please add your own lists & favorite episodes, as I KNOW, no two Blake’s 7 fans lists will be the identical!!! Since there’s still no official Blakes 7 action figures, I have to cheaply customize some star wars ones…which seems highly appropriate. ;)
