I have to admit I never saw it, just read reviews. But from what I heard of it I didn’t like it. What they did to Dr. Smith! It sounded too gritty. Although if you say it wasn’t too bad maybe it wasn’t. But I bet this reboot will be “gritty” too.

So they’re going to give him a sappy backstory eh? Sounds awful. The animated one is the clear classic here.

I understand what you’re saying, but like chainsaw said she’s self made (after a disadvantaged childhood), and as for Obama, she never doubted his nationality and doesn’t hate everything about the man.

I’m glad she’s getting so many roles. I felt Jenna Coleman was underserved in Doctor Who, playing such a flimsy character (but doing it well).

I really don't know what America has against Palestinians. And all those politicians know what's going on over there, even if the people don't. Even Isreal's press is more open than ours (and yet I don't know that they understand what their own history is either).

I didn't like the Matt Smith scene. It was too apologetic (the whole episode was) and insulted the viewers who accepted the new Doctor. But let's see if Chibnall follows suit.

I'm in the minority here, but I didn't like the first Doctor's portrayal here. No hmmms or "my dear boy"s? And I don't remember him ever telling Barbara, Susan, Dodo, Polly, or Vicky to clean the Tardis. That part just bugged me. The rest was okay. I was never properly prepared to like it that...
