    Review Seaquest DSV (1993)

Star Trek: The Next Generation under the sea. Complete with its own teenage crew member (Jonathan Brandis)

    Review The Tomorrow People (2013)

I loved the Tomorrow People. I'd definitely vote for brilliantly inventive but poorly realised. There are a lot of great ideas that are unfortunately not fully explored due to the fact that it was aimed at kids and didn't have a huge budget. Its also generally a lot of fun. There have been a...

    Review Bull

Has anyone seen this series? I've only watched the first episode so far having followed Michael Weatherly from NCIS. I enjoyed the first episode but can see that it could get quite repetitive as a concept. Does anyone have an opinion to share?

    Review Classic Who Companions!

It's hard to get a good feel for Ben and Polly as companions because they were only in 9 stories and only the first of those still exists in its entirety. There is very little remaining of their time on screen so we're limited to reconstructions and (hopefully increasingly) animations. Neither...

    Review Doctor Who (2005)

Only a few more days to go. I'm excited (and so is the rest of the family).

    Review The TENNANT Doctor

You've missed some good stuff then (and some not so good stuff). It's definitely worth checking out at least some of the others.

Fun The Turin Shroud: Fake or Genuine?

He's towards the top of my list of people I'd visit if I had a TARDIS.

Review Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)

There was an interesting novel in the 90's called The Probe by Margaret Wander Bonnano that follows up this movie with another encounter with the probe. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Probe_(novel)

Review The Fate of the Furious (2017)

If she turns out to be the Rani I'll want to know what changed her from amoral scientist to someone who spends her time plotting to destroy the Doctor.

    Review The West Wing (1999 - 2006)

I rewatched seasons 6 and 7 last year throughout the election cycle. It was a wonderful antidote to reality.

    Review NCIS (2003)

I used to watch it fairly regularly. With the exit of Ziva a couple of years ago and more recently Tony, my viewing has gone from regular to occasional and will probably drop off entirely if another show catches my eye. It has become pretty repetitive though.

Fun US vs. UK Television Format

There are positives and negatives to both styles. The US style means we get more of what we enjoy. And usually they can do more episodes per season due to a larger cast enabling filming of two or more scenes concurrently. But the UK style of smaller casts and lower episode numbers means we...

    News Avatar 2 (2021)

Yep. Apparently they're planning on filming Avatar 30 through to 50 back to back.

    Review Cartoons

I loved Battle of the Planets. Also the english dub of Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers). I also have vague but fond memories of a Flash Gordon cartoon that was around during the 80's.

    News Avatar 2 (2021)

Good news! It's currently scheduled for release in 2692. Although with the way James Cameron works it may be delayed by a few decades.

Fun Rubbish Acting in New Who!

I rewatched it a few years ago when my kids were working their way through the series. Overall it's not the worst thing ever. There's a lot of interesting ideas in looking at the lives of people left behind. But it needed a couple more rewrites and it was definitely the low point of special...

Fun Rubbish Acting in New Who!

I had to go back and look at the cast list because I've largely blotted that episode out of my memory.

Fun Rubbish Acting in Classic Who: Your View

Having mistakenly posted this in the wrong thread I'll copy it here. For worst acting performance I'd nominate Gavin and Andrew Conrad (Romulus and Remus from the Twin Dilemma).

Fun Rubbish Acting in New Who!

Whoops, that's what I get for not properly reading the title. In that case I'm going to nominate Peter Kay for his performance in Love and Monsters.
