I remember that they found a huge scratch in the master tape of TIMELASH. Maybe not too coincidentally it was the very scene that had been used on THE COLIN BAKER YEARS VHS release of that story. I reckon JNT had borrowed the master tape for the clip and forgot to rewind it or something...

I understand that it is the one and only episode that they were missing, but even so, it makes you wonder what other stuff from the early eighties and perhaps even later went walkies or got "lost" somehow.. It doesn't sound a very professional set up.

At least we can be certain that ITV will have TROPIC in their archives somewhere, JB. I was appalled to find that the BBC recently found a missing episode of the series "TRIANGLE" starring Kate O Mara. Luckily somebody had it at home on vhs after taping it when it was broadcast in 1983...
