My favorite of the Next Generation films, and probably my second favorite of all of the ST films. Honestly, it shouldn't work. There are really two separate movies going on here. You have Picard and company saving history from the Borg, while you then have the Picard/Data/Borg Queen story. There are moments that really should take you right out of the movie, like Picard using the holodeck to kill Borg, or Zefram Cochrane's antics. But this movies is just awesome. Incredible visuals, a brand new Enterprise, and great acting from everyone. It was also the first ST movie my wife went to see in the theatre with me, and that is a testament unto itself given her dislike for the franchise.
