No wonder the television versions so rarely lived up to the novelisations with imagination capturing cover and interior illustrations like the above. :emoji_grin:

I popped the vhs into the machine and awaited an octopus thing and instead got this......

Still a classic though and what it fell short of in resources, it more than made up for in consistently earnest and good acting, good scripting and taking itself seriously - all areas where the more recent, better resourced version of the show has frequently fallen short, imo.
