The TARDIS arrives in Little Hodcombe. Tegan wants to visit her grandfather, only he's disappeared. There's also a war game going on, and it's getting out of hand.

Watched this again recently. It stands up well, imo,

Davison's seemed to work really well when partnered off with a slightly more mature woman, as in Kinda.

I never, even on original viewing, saw the Malus as anything more than an unconvincing lard head stuck in the wall though.

And at the time it felt like a bit of a riff on THE DAEMONS.
