Your thoughts on this story....

The Liberator detects a mysterious spiky metal globe floating in space. Avon deduces that it is an artificial planet, but can't raise any communication. Then Cally disappears - apparently abducted inside the "planet". As well as affecting minds, this "Ultraworld" turns out to be capable of stealing them - and using the zombified bodies of space travelers to trap others. But the crew must ultimately face the menace that rules from the center of the Ultraworld...

A shaky script, done on a low budget.

Never Blake's 7's best combination.

This is clunky fun, but some of the dialogue feels wrong in the character's mouths. Cally gets taken over yet again. (No wonder she left.) And the realisation of the three rulers is embarrassingly bad, although the cracking blue face paint at the end almost works.

The senior of the aliens has always reminded me of Charles Dance.

The Tarrant/Dayna "bonding ceremony" is daft fun. (Nowadays we would see everything if this was remade on HBO! :emoji_alien:)

I guess that there are some good concepts bubbling away under the cheapness and dodgy script. The Borg remind me of the Ultras, for one. But the bad points far outweigh the good.

Having said that, if one is in the right mood, this can be good, nonsensical fun.

But not an episode that you would show to a "not we" and say: "Right, get a load of this! This is quality drama, this!" :emoji_alien:

And there's a boom mike visible in the above scene for a moment! :emoji_alien:
