    Review Dave Allen

Another legend of yesteryear, his religious jokes were risqué at the time. Always enjoyed his shows.

    Review Benny Hill

Politically incorrect, controversial now and axed eventually by Thames Tv, but adored by many and legendary in The States.

    Review Morecambe and Wise

Two absolute geniuses, they certainly don't make shows like this anymore.

    Review The Two Ronnies (1971)

That time of year again, when old comic masters are enjoyed once more. Used to love the Ronnies show. The musical sketches were a bit tiresome but the rest was top class.

    Review Coogan's Run

A six part comedy anthology series where Coogan was possibly trying out new characters for a series. All six are very good, the first episode had possibly the only character that could have gone on with an extended life Gareth Cheeseman I.T. salesman extraordinaire, or so he thought.

Review Dr Terrible's House Of Horrible

A six part Steve Coogan homage to the Hammer horror genre. Slated at the time as not outrageously funny, but it was a gentle light hearted homage to Hammer.

    Review The Thin Blue Line

Written by Ben Elton, starring Rowan Atkinson, can't go far wrong with that team. Enjoyable incompetent police silliness.

Review It Ain't Half Hot Mum (1974)

Windsor Davies at his finest, clean fun, and good writing team, make this a classic.

    Review 10cc

A great band , maybe never truly reached their potential after Godley and Creme left, but so many great hits.

    Review Ripping Yarns (1976)

A favourite of mine, the comedy anthology series created by Michael Palin and Terry Jones post Python. Nine glorious episodes all set in the 1920's or 30's. Murder At Moorstones Manor being my favourite.

Review Do Not Adjust Your Set

Early forerunner of Monty Python, made by ITV, with appearances by Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, along with David Jason. Only series 1 survives, out on DVD and some shows on youtube. John Cleese and Graham Chapman were fans and a few years later Monty Python was formed and the rest...

    Ah , childhood memories.

    Review Boney (1972)

I'll be surprised if anyone remembers this, but I loved it. It was on ITV on a weekday afternoon. Starring James Laurenson as a detective in the outback, sort of Skippy for adults! OMG did I say that?!

    Review The Cure

Used to like this band until they went all pop and chart hits. But might reappraise them after hearing a later album and liking it. Their early stuff was cool, especially the doom laden almost impenetrable " Pornography" album. That was just the title BTW, not the content, which was a real wall...

    Review Wacky Races (1968)

OMG! why am I starting a thread devoted to this ? Perhaps it's the two bottles of red wine I've consumed tonight < hic> pardon me Or maybe because it's fun rewatching those wacky heroes; Peter Perfect, Penelope Pitstop, Pat Pending, The Gruesome Twosome,The Ant Hill Mob, Army Surplus Special and...

    Review Rentaghost ( 1976)

Childish show, maybe , but enjoyable, created by Bob Block who also did Roberts Robots and Pardon My Genie. Quite a good cast in this too. Legal wrangles apparently have prevented DVD release except for series 1, though a few later series episodes appear on youtube.

    Fun Bottom

    Review Get Smart (1965)

A very funny show, not surprising as Mel Brooks was behind it. This sort of humour just hits the right spot with me. Love all of Brooks' films too.

Review Noel Fielding - Luxury Comedy

This is WEIRD Some of it very funny, other stuff just bizarre. Enjoyable though, looking into the mind of Noel Fielding.

    Outnumbered

A very funny series, in the first two or three years the children in it would more or less adlib their way through it within a basic scripted scenario which the adults followed and also responded to the kids ad-libs .
