I missed the original miniseries (still haven't seen it all but I have read the novelisation) and only saw parts of The Final Battle but I was fully on board for the TV series I know! When I first realised that Willie was also Freddie I was stunned. The two characters are so different.

As someone who enjoyed the original series of Charmed, I can't work up any enthusiasm for this.

More importantly, if the acquisition by Disney results in a good FF movie then even more YAYYY!!!! Given the direction that franchise has gone in recent years, I'm happy to answer that with a big YES! It's not like they could make anything worse than AvP.

I'm disappointed that we won't get to see the 2nd and 3rd books. I haven't bothered with the 4th book because it's from a different writer and all the reviews I've read suggest that it isn't as good as the originals.

I don't know whether to be excited or terrified about that. The idea of seeing a big budget Foundation movie is exciting. But we've yet to see anything of Asimov's produced into a movie that does justice to its source material.

I don't think you're overthinking. You're just thinking. Which is more than the writers of these shows seem to do. It seems like they get an idea that sounds cool and don't bother thinking about how it might affect the story.
