Wesley Snipes as Geordi? Might have been interesting. Considering how his movie career hit its height a few years after TNG started it's hard to tell whether that role might have helped or hindered his career. Would he have been typecast? Or would his career have taken him away from the role?

I'm sure that Google would be working on something like that. Not for the benefit of retrieving lost episodes but for the data they could exploit by accessing people's memories. The side benefit would be the reconstruction of all of the missing episodes.

Sadly this would still true even if they got the cast from the recent movies to make an appearance. I'm not a big fan of the movies but at least they were far closer to Star Trek than this is.

I was reading about this earlier today. Problem is that they're not clear on what they mean by "relatively soon". In geological terms "relatively soon" could mean "in the next few thousand years".

I suspect there may be a few other big names quaking in their boots at the moment. It would be very surprising if Harvey Weinstein was the only one to abuse his power this way and now that women have had the courage to speak out it will encourage others to do the same.
