I've been spending a bit of time on Facebook. It seems to disprove the theory of intelligent life quite well. Or it could just be that intelligent life is smart enough to stay away from Facebook.

Before we start any discussion about intelligent life I'd like to see some evidence that such a thing exists.

This is generally the view that I've always been taught with the difference that, while existing outside time, God is still able to interact within time. Sort of a "best of both worlds" scenario.

Why would they want to do that? It's clear that they don't have a very high opinion of Star Trek as a concept. I suspect that for those in charge the name is merely a marketing tool to sell whatever show they want to produce.

I'm going to be interested to see if they bother to explain the dramatic decline in technology that appears to occur over the next 10 years.

Can't disagree. I'm not a fan of the reboot movies but Anton Yelchin was a revelation as Chekov.

Fair enough. I'm not a fan of the humour of shows like American Dad or Family Guy so we've clearly got a different sense of "funny". But if that's what you're looking for you won't find it in The Orville (at least not so far) so hopefully my review has saved you some time :emoji_alien:

It needed a few rewrites and the removal of an oversized ego but you're right. There were some good ideas in the script that could have made for a great film if explored properly.
