    Poll Life After Death?

I've been spending a bit of time on Facebook. It seems to disprove the theory of intelligent life quite well. Or it could just be that intelligent life is smart enough to stay away from Facebook.

    Poll Life After Death?

Before we start any discussion about intelligent life I'd like to see some evidence that such a thing exists.

    Review God and Eternity

This is generally the view that I've always been taught with the difference that, while existing outside time, God is still able to interact within time. Sort of a "best of both worlds" scenario.

    Review Marvel Comics

I've aways perferred DC to Marvel. Which causes some conflict with my 13yo son who's a Marvel fan. He's always coming up to me to give me reasons why the Avengers would beat the Justice League. At which point I (obviously) prove him wrong by pointing out that Batman is in the Justice League and...

Review What Book Are You Reading?

Interesting. For some reason I hadn't read the books, despite being a big fan of the Hitchhikers series. I just started watching the series and have enjoyed it so far and was thinking of picking up the books. Sounds like there's some difference between the two?

Fun Do You Ever Get So Engulfed Into A Book........

Only every book I ever read. Very few books are as good as movies as they are in my head. Lord of the Rings did a great job of casting most of the characters much as I'd pictured them, the story wasn't quite as good as I'd imagined but a pretty good interpretation. Usually once I've seen the...

    Fun Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

So I've watched the first three episodes now and I'm not overly impressed. As a Next Generation sequel and with a different alien race it might have had a more positive impact (given that the technology on display is significantly advanced from what was on display in ST:TNG) But mostly I just...

    Review Justice League (2017)

Um ... Aquaman can fly now?

Review Paul, Apostle of Christ: IN PRODUCTION

In fairness to Paul, most scholars now believe that most of the misogyny in his letters are later inserts and not part of the original text (although a certain level of misogyny would be fairly normal in that era too) and that several of the letters attributed to him were actually written by...

News D.C. DEVELOPMENT HELL: Where Super-Powered Ideas Go to Die

I'd so totally watch that movie

    Fun Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

Why would they want to do that? It's clear that they don't have a very high opinion of Star Trek as a concept. I suspect that for those in charge the name is merely a marketing tool to sell whatever show they want to produce.

    Fun Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

I'm going to be interested to see if they bother to explain the dramatic decline in technology that appears to occur over the next 10 years.

    Fun Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

Obviously it was a tough ten years for her between series that aged her about 30 years. That Vulcan heat obviously isn't good for your skin. :emoji_alien:

    Fun Worlds of DC

Sounds like they might finally be learning. If they take their time and do it right they can build up a fantastic interconnected universe but if they rush into it and force the interconnectedness like they did with BvS they'll continue to be panned. Wonder Woman was definitely the right move. A...

    Review Batman (1989)

This is why, despite any reservations I may have about the suitability of an actor for a role, I'm always happy to wait and see before voicing an opinion. It was the same when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker.

    Review Star Trek (2009)

Can't disagree. I'm not a fan of the reboot movies but Anton Yelchin was a revelation as Chekov.

    Review The Orville (2017)

Fair enough. I'm not a fan of the humour of shows like American Dad or Family Guy so we've clearly got a different sense of "funny". But if that's what you're looking for you won't find it in The Orville (at least not so far) so hopefully my review has saved you some time :emoji_alien:

    Review Inhumans (2017)

Hmmm. Do I sense where the problems for both shows might arise?

    Fun The Trek Franchise!

It needed a few rewrites and the removal of an oversized ego but you're right. There were some good ideas in the script that could have made for a great film if explored properly.
