I remember watching this one and thinking how old Sean Connery looked to be playing Bond. And it suffered from being a recycled plot and the lack of the regular cast. And Sean Connery's obvious disinterest during many scenes. Interesting to watch but not really up to standard unfortunately.

Just watched the first episode of season 3. Not a bad start to the story but oh my god what did they do to the theme song? Did someone decide that the cure to the theme song not being popular with fans was to make it more pop?

This was a story I loved through reading the novelisation and was always disappointed to not be able to see the original episodes. Having since seen the ones that survived I think this one is a case where the televised episodes lived up to the story.

Yeah not doing it for me. I think I'll give the David Suchet series another watch instead. I'm a big fan of Kenneth Branagh and he's a very talented actor and director but nothing in that trailer does any justice to Agatha Christie at all.

I suspect a TV series could work for LOTR or even an eventual trilogy movie remake could be on the cards. I prefer the books but the series is pretty good (if you like fantasy). It was better at the beginning when it was following the books more closely though.
