    Review Man of Steel (2013)

Somebody hire this man immediately. Imagine someone directing a Superman film who actually understood and appreciated the character!

    Review The Space Museum (1965)

I thought the idea of the split timeline was a fantastic idea. Unfortunately it degenerated into a standard runaround by the end that didn't live up to the initial promise.

    Fun The James Bond Movies!

Regardless of how bad the series would be I'd absolutely watch any episode that had John Cleese in it.

Poll Your Best & Worst BONDS! (Actors & Films)

The first Bond movie I ever saw was For Your Eyes Only. My parents took me as a teenager to see it and it cemented Roger Moore as "my" Bond. I later saw the Connery movies and I can see why he was so successful in the role but I always preferred Moore with Brosnan as a close second. Never liked...

    Fun The James Bond Movies!

Weren't they planning on a Jinx spin-off with Halle Berry after Die Another Day. Fortunately the disaster that Die Another Day turned into prevented that. I could see maybe the possibility of a "00" TV series about other agents but even that I'd think twice about watching. Part of me wonders...

Review Never Say Never Again (1983)

I remember watching this one and thinking how old Sean Connery looked to be playing Bond. And it suffered from being a recycled plot and the lack of the regular cast. And Sean Connery's obvious disinterest during many scenes. Interesting to watch but not really up to standard unfortunately.

    Fun Star Trek: Enterprise

Just watched the first episode of season 3. Not a bad start to the story but oh my god what did they do to the theme song? Did someone decide that the cure to the theme song not being popular with fans was to make it more pop?

    Review The Crusade (1965)

This was a story I loved through reading the novelisation and was always disappointed to not be able to see the original episodes. Having since seen the ones that survived I think this one is a case where the televised episodes lived up to the story.

    News Another FANTASTIC FOUR Movie?

Well its not like he could make a worse movie than the last one right?

Review Murder on the Orient Express (2017)

Yeah not doing it for me. I think I'll give the David Suchet series another watch instead. I'm a big fan of Kenneth Branagh and he's a very talented actor and director but nothing in that trailer does any justice to Agatha Christie at all.

Fun Tolkien: The Life & Works

I suspect a TV series could work for LOTR or even an eventual trilogy movie remake could be on the cards. But, given how well this trilogy worked out from both an audience and critical reception, I think it would need to be a long time before they tried to do it. Unless someone is very sure they...

    Fun The Terminator Franchise!

I think you should consider yourself lucky that the ennouncement wasn't that she'd signed up for 5 new movies and a new shared Terminator universe. PS: Please don't let James Cameron join this forum so he can see this comment.

Fun Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

I prefer the books but the series is pretty good (if you like fantasy). It was better at the beginning when it was following the books more closely though.

Wouldn't surprise me. Although I'm a big fan of Jason Isaacs so hopefully he sticks around.

    Fun Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

I'm going to give it a chance. I was delighted to see that it's going to be available on Netflix here in Australia. I had thought I'd have to pirate it to see it. Of course it will have to fit in with the other shows I'm currently watching (Daredevil, Game of Thrones, ST: TNG, Enterprise, Dirk...

    Fun J.K. Rowling

Given how much I enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts (much to my surprise) I don't see any signs that its going to be running out of steam any time soon. I'm a big fan of J.K Rowling's writing and am willing to have faith that if she says she's got a story that will take 5 movies to tell that's...

    Review Predator (1987)

Wouldn't it be better to have his skull and spinal cord ripped from his still living body? In full graphic detail? Unfortunately I suspect that we've identified at least one certain survivor :(
