    Review Firefly (2002)

I have a suspicion that that line has entered into tropes territory so it's possible to know the line and not the show. It probably wasn't even original in Blake's 7.

    News Obi-Wan Kenobi TV Show

I'm really not sure where they'll go for this story. Obi-Wan's story was basically told in the prequels, with him still being a padawan in the first one, and retiring to Tatooine at the end of the third one.

    Review Dolittle (2020)

Could be interesting, if done well, and nothing like the Eddie Murphy version.

    Review Ocean's Eight (2018) June 8th, 2018

Maybe it's just me, but that trailer makes it look like an outright remake of the George Clooney version. Don't get me wrong, it looks great and I love the cast, but I can't justify spending money to see a remake. This might have to wait until Netflix for me. It's disappointing that studio...

Review Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)

2018 is shaping up to be a big movie year for me. Usually I only see 2-3 movies a year but I've got my sights on at least 6 so far and this is definitely one of them.

News Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (2022)

I wouldn't have an issue with breaking continuity for something so minor, if it serves the story. In any case, the information shown on those screens was a display of what the Nova Corps knew about the characters. It's possible that they had some incorrect information to begin with.

    Review Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

I've definitely got high expectations for this, which might not necessarily be a good thing. They do have a lot of characters and story to juggle and I'm hoping I haven't set my sights too high. Sometimes it can be more enjoyable to watch a second rate movie that exceeds your expectations than a...

    Review Aquaman (2018)

While I like the idea of less focus on the interconnectedness of these movies, it seems to me that Warners keep taking the wrong message away from successful movies. Wonder Woman wasn't successful because it was standalone. It was successful because it had a coherent and interesting story to...

    Fun Worlds of DC

I was disappointed that she wasn't able to make a cameo in the first one. Especially since she found time to make a couple of appearances in Supergirl (and still looks fantastic).

    Review Robin Hood (2018)

Maybe we're all wrong about it not being an original idea and the sheriff is actually a time traveller? :emoji_alien:

    Fun Worlds of DC

So ... Suicide Squad. Not actually a bad concept but unfortunately poorly realised. The squad characters were great and well portrayed (although Katana was woefully underdeveloped and Slipknot was completely wasted - I know he was only there to get killed and demonstrate the reality of the...

    Review Robin Hood (2018)

Wasn't there also a point when the plan was for Russell Crowe was going to play both Robin and the Sheriff? Sort of showing them as two sides of the same coin?

    Review Robin Hood (2018)

I'm feeling a distinct lack of interest in this. I don't mind seeing a new version of the story but doesn't anybody have an original take on the concept? It seems like they just keep making the same movie over and over again.

Review The Woman Who Fell To Earth (2018)

I really hope not. I would be incredibly insulted by such a patronising scene.

Review Twice Upon a Time (2017)

I really enjoyed the episode (although I agree that David Bradley didn't really capture the essence of Hartnell's Doctor). But overall it was a great finish to Capaldi's run and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future brings with Jodie Whitaker. I seem to be in the minority with that...

Review Twice Upon a Time (2017)

Actually Adric did make an appearance in the very next episode after his death. Fortunately it was just a false image and not the real thing.

    Fun Star Trek: Enterprise

I don't disagree. I think he's actually a pretty good actor overall though, and it says something that even he wasn't able to demonstrate that with the way the character was written.

    Fun Worlds of DC

So I made it through Batman v Superman (the extended edition, which I hadn't seen before). I have to say it definitely makes far more sense than what was originally released. It's still a bloated mess though. Having seen it again I now think it would have been better if it was split into two...

    Fun Worlds of DC

I'm planning on watching the extended edition which, by all accounts, is more coherent than the theatrical release which is what I originally saw.
